A day at the park
We spent the fourth day of our Spring Break at the park. Harrison ran around the park as fast as he could and Delaney climbed the steps and went down the slide ALOT.

I woke up this morning feeling like I was being watched and opened my eyes with Harrison in the room watching over us and waiting. I said what's up and he said "I found a clue, the Easter bunny left me a clue to find my basket."
He hopped into bed with us and could not sit still waiting for Delaney to wake up so they could find all the clues. He went in to wake her and the hunt began.

Dear Harrison and Delaney,
A tisket a tasket this is not where I left your baskets, follow my clues and you will see that there is some other place they may be.
Clue #1 To Start you on your path maybe your basket is where you take your bath. Found the clue in the bathtub.
Clue #2 I tricked you once and maybe again go to where you play pretend. Found the clue in the dress up drawer in the playroom.
Clue #3 Maybe the third clue will not fail, go to where you lay the mail. Found the clue in the mail basket
Clue #4 Got you again and you will see, maybe they are near the big TV. Found the clue laying on the TV
Clue #5 This may be the last clue read, next to the couch on something you lay your head.
Found the clue by their floor pillows
Our baskets were full of so many wonderful things left by the easter bunny and the kids loved the baskets Grandma and Grandpa sent they were an extra special surprise, Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY HARRISON
I am sure you guessed Harrison was having a bowling party by the look of the previous posting of the cake. Harrison invited 5 friends and Delaney, we had it on Friday afternoon since school was out for Good Friday. I made bowling shirts for all the kids to wear as part of their goodie bag, added a few balloons, some popcorn, pink lemonade, a cake and we had ourselves a decent quicky 6 year old birthday party. We bowled the boys vs. the girls and the girls won. We bowled 2 games, ate the cake opened presents all in the 2 hour party time. Then when we came home after the party spent the rest of the afternoon out in the yard riding bikes and finished the day off with Harrison's favorite meal of the moment: Hot Dogs and Macaroni and Cheese, keeping my fingers crossed he asks for something a little more upscale next year.
Please try to avoid listening to the singing since you hear me so well and just focus on the moment
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRISON, MY WISH FOR YOU IS THAT LIFE BECOMES ALL THAT YOU WANT IT TO, YOUR LIFE STAYS FULL OF LOVE, HAPPINESS AND YOUR IMAGINATION STAYS STRONG!!
ALL MY LOVE, MOM

Soaking up the sun
We have been a little slow on the blog this past week because we have been out enjoying the beautiful flowers blooming, trees budding and the gorgeous blue skies filled with sun. Love this Carolina weather!!
I see what James Taylor meant when he sang "In my mind Im goin to carolina. Cant you see the sunshine, Cant you just feel the moonshine. Maybe just like a friend of mine, It hit me from behind. Yes Im goin to carolina in my mind"

The Greatest Show on Earth!!
The day before the big circus at school Harrison came down with a temp of 101 causing him to miss school. The few days before Harrison memorized his lines, I made the costume and he had his first starring role, the day I imagine would be on film for any future aww moments. Long story short he missed it and I sent the costume in with our neighbors kids and someone else filled his role. The day he went back to school he could not stop talking about us having a family circus that night. Luckily for Jason and I; Harrison and Delaney did most of the show, I was allowed to just watch and Jason did the opening and closing parade waving and I was forbidden to film that one.
Anyway on with the show and the Magician with assistant.

Drama, Drama, Drama
On many occasion Delaney has breakdowns, her Drama moments as I call them. I know all girls or 2 year olds go through this and some never outgrow them (living on a prayer here). But you know it happens too frequently when your son comes home from school with his art class project of the day and everyone in the picture except for his sister is smiling. I am only banking on this being the terrible two's and not a girl thing, I hope she will outgrow it!!!
