BIRTHDAY BASH

We made it to Indiana and have a fun eventful weekend planned, and it all started off with seeing Layne, we have not seen her since Christmas and she is so big now. She woke Delaney up from her nap and Delaney got to feed her lunch.

The next thing on our list was Delaney's birthday party. The party was so much fun, we had a bouncy twister board that Jim let us borrow, Thanks Jim the kids had a great time bouncing around. We got to see everyone in the M family that we have not seen since Christmas. We had a great dinner that Mom made with salads, baked beans, mac n' cheese, fried chicken and hot dogs. There was really more food than you can imagine but that is my Mom's way to always make sure there is enough for everyone and what is a party without food! We also had tons of presents and tons of cake. The birthday girl had a royal party with lots of princess themed gifts right down to her Cinderella dress and shoes that Grandma and Grandpa got for her. Delaney and Grace had a great time together and at the end dressed up like princess and did the royal walk through the yard and called one another princess, it was so cute to watch. It was a great time and I am grateful that everyone was able to make it, we miss family get together since we live so far away and it was nice to have that.

The next thing on our event planner is seeing cousin Campbell at her dance recital. We will get to see Nana and Gramps, our K cousins and Aunt Rena and Uncle Beau who we have also not seen since Christmas and Harrison finally gets to see his best buddy Carson!

MEMORIAL DAY HIKE

We spent Memorial day hiking, had a picnic and fished; we got sweaty and have some great fish stories to tell you. We saw a deer that was about 10 feet from us, I threw some almonds out and it came over and ate them, you could tell he was a little more worried about getting the almonds than us being so close. We fished with the princess and scooby doo fishing rods and came up with nothing but we tried really hard with the cheddar cubes and peanut butter and jelly bait. The family tradition lives strong and Harrison scored 2 tree knockdowns on his own. We all had a great time and the kids passed out on the way home!!

HAPPY 7 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

At the rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding

This is the year of the itch, wool is the traditional gift to give your spouse. After finding out that this is the gift it makes me feel better about it being 7 years rather that the movie 7 Year Itch. Since the film's release, the phrase 7 year itch refers to a disinterest in a monogamous relationship after 7 years of marriage.
Happy Anniversary Jason,
I am still wild about you even after 7 years.
I Love You!

7 years later, the day before our anniversary

My new favorite thing

I have to share this fantastic website I discovered; restaurant.com. You can purchase $25 gift certificates to restaurants literally anywhere in the US for $10 and sometimes $75 certificates for $30. If you join the club which cost nothing but some email's you can receive even more discounts via email. All you need is a color printer to print the certificate, because once you purchase you can use it immediately. When we want to go out to eat we just look and see what restaurants are on for that day and that is where we go, they do change once in a while so your favorites may be on there sometimes.

Delaney's Day

The school year is coming to an end, Harrison only has 10 school days left and Delaney only has 2 playdates left before summer begins, the pool opens Saturday and I will be so much older in a month. It really is hard to believe my son will be in the 1st grade next year and my daughter will begin preschool. I took the camera with us to our playdate and took some photos of Delaney with her friends. It is also a big deal week here in Race City USA and and a little bit of a madhouse in downtown Mooresville everyday this week but we did manage to get a photo with a car and Delaney was SO excited about it.

The Banana Rap Song

We wanted to share this funny video about Delaney's favorite fruit.

Bosom Buddies Delaney, Sydnee, Harrison and Savanna

Tuesday night was The Spring Sing for Kindergarten and it was a pure joy to watch. All the kids had such a good time performing the songs they learned to a huge gym full of family and friends. The video camera was running the entire show; so no one will miss a thing when we visit. I apologize for the jumpy video, I had a busy 3 year old on my lap.

Thank you Ma'am

I have always been called Mommy by Harrison and most of Delaney's life until recently Delaney started calling me Mama. I have left it alone not correcting her just thinking it may be a southern thing since the girls across the street occasionally call their Mom Mama. Maybe she will revert back to Mommy and end up with the shortened Mom that Harrison now calls me. But today in the middle of Delaney needing help dressing up she started saying Thank you Ma'am, how formal of her to call me Ma'am, good manners outside of the house but I am not so sure I want to be called Ma'am by my children. I think I may have to correct this one!!

BOYS NIGHT OUT!!

Harrison and Kyle before the race
Harrison, Kyle and Brock

The boys night at Lowes Motor Speedway watching The All Star Race. They all had a great time watching their favorite drivers, Harrison was cheering for Jeff Gordon and Kyle was cheering for Karl Edwards, but Kasey Kahne won the race. Harrison and Jason got home at midnight and Harrison slept until 11:30 which is surprising since he almost always wakes up at 7am no matter what. Good sign he really had a great time.

They were sitting near a Dale fan, you can hear him in the video say GO DALE, WOHOO.

Two Suprises in one day

The mailman stopped by our house for a second time today and apologized that he forgot to drop another card in our mailbox from Great Aunt Anna and Great Uncle Larry. What a wonderful birhtday suprise, Thanks Aunt Anna and Uncle Larry for the adorable princess card.

I LOVE THIS CARD!!

She got this card in the mail today from her Great Uncle Joe and Great Aunt Darlene and she was beaming. She loves getting mail and this one takes the grand prize for her favorite of all time. The card has The little mermaid on the front and a fun song to sing and dance to. The couch was in the way and obviously too excited to remember.
Thanks for making her day Aunt Darlene and Uncle Joe!!

This Birthday stuff is great!!

Imagine a present a day for a week, well almost. In the eyes of an almost 3 year old this is pure heaven, she was overjoyed when she woke up from her nap today and yet another gift waited for her. She said "this is terrific" with a giant smile on her face.

Thanks Nana perfect gift for our lady of the dress who loves to change into a new dress as often as she can sneak and model in front of her mirror.
We are celebrating her birthday as a family on Sunday since that is the day we will all be together, tomorrow the 16th is her actual birthday but we will not be doing anything to celebrate until Sunday.

Almost time to see Carson!!

Harrison is so excited to see his best buddy Carson, we are going to Indy soon and I made a countdown clock for Harrison last night. He was super excited to rip the number 17 off this morning and say only 16 days until I see Carson, Yahoo. He misses everyone but he cannot wait to see Carson, they spent a lot of time together when we all lived in Ohio and he misses him VERY VERY MUCH!! As a matter of fact we all do, see you soon Carson.
