Duke for the Big 10 Birthday

On our way to Duke for a visit to the campus and a Duke vs. UNC Lacrosse game to celebrate Harrison's 10th birthday early.  The kids were in the backseat working on signs for the game so you can see the genuine smile Harrison is giving me so he can just finish his poster, Delaney too busy to even look up.
Our first stop per Harrison's request was the Duke Chapel with it's English inspired cathedral it is really an awesome sight inside and out.  We walked the campus picking up some Duke attire visiting the football field and the basketball arena all the while noticing a helicopeter that was circling the campus like something spectacular was happening on campus, Peyton was there before he made his final decision.
The Lacrosse game was awesome and just what Harrison wanted a Duke win!!  We were also so lucky to meet up with Aunt Maureen and cousin Esther and her husband Tyson it was great to catch up; I did not get any photos of all of us my camera had died by this time.  It was a great day and it was an awesome first impression of Duke for our Duke T.I.P 10 year old.

Waiting for an autograph from a Charlotte Lacrosse player

Loving this awesome campus

Toothless Wonder

Tooth #2 had made it's way out of Delaney's mouth with very little effort from her.  She wiggled it a bit and once it was super loose brushed her teeth and it fell out on it's own.  I think the tooth fairy felt sorry for her this time since the last tooth fell out and went who knows where; the tooth fairy left a Care Bear for her with 2 dollar coins this time.  Now that tooth that was behind growing has full access to continue on it's quest to mess up her perfect baby tooth smile and it looks like it will need braces.  Why can't my kids have their grandparents and father's teeth that are all fairly straight.  Instead they both have inherited my messed up teeth gene, Sorry kids, but it pays off in the long run-I Promise!!
