Beach memories

We have had such an incredible summer both at home and on vacation but we always look forward to our vacation as a family to the beach and we have done it every year that we have been here at a different beach and this year was my favorite.
We went to Isle of Palms just outside of Mt. Pleasant in Charleston, it was the perfect spot for all of us, with the Historical Architecture I love, History for Jason and Harrison and the beach, sand and waves we all love.
I love it when a vacation seems like a fun beach trip and the kids don't even know they are learning about American History.
We were there for 5 days and went exploring 1 day to the beach 2 days and downtown Charleston 2 days, usually when you go on vacation you do not want it to rain but the day we witnessed the rain in downtown Charleston it was really something to remember and of course we heard it hasn't rained like this in years. I took a photo after the rain slowed down just to document the insanity of it all.
What great memories we all have.

What is not to love about a red house built in 1700's with beautiful flowers in the window boxes

The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist has some amazing history with an awesome steeple and massive front doors!

After the major rain this main street transformed into a knee deep river, the car on the right was stuck up to the front fender.
