Graduation Day

Dressed in Cap and Gowns with tassels swinging, celebrating the conclusion of Preschool and the anticipation of starting Kindergarten!! They looked so precious as they marched in one by one starting the graduation ceremony with patriotic songs they had been practicing and finished as they were introduced by Mrs. Nancy and presented their diplomas by their teachers. I thought I would struggle with sad or happy but I was truly proud as I cried the entire time. Congratulations Graduate I am so proud of you!!!

Goodbye Preschool, Hello Summer

I do not have words to describe how I feel about this day but WOW it is here. The future Ms. Kindergartner had a great last day with an ice cream party and she is super excited about wearing her cap and gown tomorrow. She looks so grown compared to 9 shorts months ago when she started school. She has made some great friends and thanks to Disney discovered her Prince Charming (he is below) and had the greatest teachers at a wonderful school. We could not have asked for more.

I had to add this photo just so we could look back and remember when

Goodbye Playgroup

The end of playgroup is coming near, next week will be the last week we are together as a group and then we will all be on our own for the summer. Some will be back next year but 3 are going off to Kindergarten. We will miss our Playgroup friends and Mom's and Miss Missy our fearless playgroup leader.
Always using their imagination and who knows what was going on here...
Delaney, Ethan, Hanna, Andrew, Luke and Bella
we are missing Marlee and Delaney's best buddy Megan

All Stars

It was a big day in the K house, it was All Stars try out night. Our town has never sponsored an all star team and this year our team's coach took on the task of organizing the try outs. There was a great turn out with many skill stations for the players to complete and be graded on. We got the call from Coach Mike tonight and Harrison made it on the 8U team and Jason was asked to coach. First game is June 12th in South Charlotte.
The little league future in Mooresville looks bright since Mooresville was just chosen as the future site of America Parks prestigous state of the art baseball complex with 25 lighted fields, cabins, dining hall and laundry facility all set on 170 acres. The site will host week long tournaments during the summer months for the nations top 8-13 year old baseball stars.

A rainbow appeared after the little rain we got during try outs

And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true

Squirrel

When Bodie is not busy doing work inside he keeps his keen eyes sharpened by watching the wildlife outside. I am sure he is convinced he is gonna get a squirrel, bunny or bird one of these days!!

Hard at Play!!

The kids decided to put their money together and buy something they could share. I am sure they will still bicker but maybe it will wear them out as well. I see this summer working out pretty well for all of us!!

Snaggle Tooth

Harrison had a bit of an accident this afternoon in P.E. when he was racing to be first he tripped and fell on his mouth thus breaking his tooth. The phone call came from the school nurse and I went into Mom Ambulance driver mode out the door in 2 seconds with other child which I totally forgot the name of at the time under my arm. We raced to school THANK GOODNESS the school is 1 minute away from home and then we raced to meet Jason and Dr. Kye our dentist and YEAH Dr. Kye saved the day by bonding the tooth back together. Keeping our fingers crossed this tooth heals back together Harrison is banned from chewing his fingernails, gum, pizza, apples and all things yummy and crunchy. We have tried to get him to quit biting his nails but had no idea a broken tooth would be the reason he had to stop.

Hip, Hip Hooray it's Delaney's 5th birthday!
It's time to tumble!
It's time to play!
It's time to celebrate!
What a great time we all had on this hot Carolina day, we jumped the day away with friends, opened gifts and enjoyed some yummy cupcakes and ice cream. What more could a 5 year old ask for, it was a very exciting day!

Resting

Resting and recouping from surgery on the couch. For those of you I did not tell I had Atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) in my right breast which was found on my mammogram and diagnosed in a core needle biopsy, luckily not cancer. I had a segmental mastectomy surgery yesterday morning to remove the calcification because it could grow into something worse later on. Doing my best to rest and my family is taking care of me and keeping themselves busy so I can rest peacefully. Thank you for all the well wishes from those I told before hand.
