What's so special
Does the dog really have to do something special to get on the blog? At this point in the day he had not run off with anything that was not his, don't get me wrong he will drop it eventually but not until we have to yell drop it about 10 times and if he gets the chance and does not get caught he will eat it quietly in the other room. Sooo the answer is yes, the special thing of the day was he was knocked out by the heat from being outside running around, we love love love our invisible fence!!!
Swim Meet
Even though this was the third swim meet this was the first one I was able to attend and take photos. I was impressed with Harrison's swim technique in this competition he is really impressive to watch. The races they had were Breast stroke, Back stroke, Butterfly and freestyle and he came in 3rd for breast, 1st for Backstroke, 3rd in Butterfly and 2nd in freestyle.

Capping off the weekend
Last day of the weekend we visited a drive in for a double feature, one for them-Toy Story 3 and one for us-Grown Ups. I love Adam Sandler and he keeps getting better and better with every movie he makes-this one was sooo funny, really a must see!! Good thing we put the kids to sleep before our movie, it was PG-13 and not sure I would even want my 13 year old to see it yet.
I love a parade
Day 2 of the 4th festivities we visited Troutman to watch the county Independence day parade

Symphony in the park
Happy birthday to me
The ad's say What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, I would like to keep the memories and let that new age I have become maybe stay. I had the best 40th birthday I could have ever asked for, starting at the beautiful Wynn Las Vegas with a view from the 57th floor. We toured almost every hotel on the strip, saw a great show, visited downtown, walked our legs off, had some expensive coffee, slept in the most comfortable bed ever, went to bed and woke up to the most amazing view every day, ate some great food and I won $5.00. It was really something, truly fantastic!!

Recital Time
This was the night we have been waiting all year for, well actually 5 years. She has been waiting the the chance to dance on stage her entire life and it was worth the wait!! The excitement in her eyes and the confidence she had was incredible, we all were so proud of her. Sitting in the audience cheering her on was me, Jason, Harrison, Grandma, Grandpa, Nana and Gramps. It was really wonderful to have people that love us here to cheer her on since we are all so far away it means so much more when they can take time out of their busy lives to share these joyous moments with us.
Swim Team, Water Park and Swim Lessons
Swim team and swim lessons started just as school let out and we had to visit a fun water park in that week too.
Indy or Bust
I was off on my on to Indy for a weekend of celebration. On Saturday was the marriage of my cousin Amy and Stephen and Sunday a birthday party for my Grandmother who turned 90. I stayed with my parents and I was also able to visit with family including my brother, sister-in-law and my adorable niece Layne. It was a wonderful weekend.

Mooresville Braves All Star Team
I feel a little behind since we have had a bit of a whirlwind here at the K Ranch. So many things have happended that I just never had a chance to get posted so hang on and here we go!!
The Mooresville Braves All Star Team started the season playing a 3 game tourney on Saturday June 12 in South Charlotte, it was a long, hot and painful day for the team. The team did a great job hanging in there with some of the best traveling all star teams in our area. We lost all three games but since we are the newbies we are chalking this one up to experience. Way to go Braves never losing the faith!!
