First Grader all grown up

It has been an entire year since I started sharing our lives on this blog. It was few short days before Harrison started Kindergarten that I started blogging and what a year it has been, we have been through so much and enjoyed every minute of it. I look forward to this exciting year of two kids in school.

Today Harrison started First Grade and he was so excited he could hardly wait, we got back into the swing of things pretty quickly. The most exciting thing of all we are no longer alone at the bus stop, what used to be the three of us has turned into 16 people standing at the bus stop, now he has someone to compete in his running races.

All dressed in his new duds
The happy school children
Harrison and his favorite thing as he kicks the stop sign post with his foot he pretends to bang his head, WWF at the bus stop.
The big crowd and Mr. Harrison as always at the front of the line

Delaney excited to have all the toys to herself now that her brother has gone off to school. She has started a One Girl Band.

My little preschooler all grown up

Sitting on the steps with her classmates waiting for me like it's no big deal
What a day this was, Delaney's first day of Preschool. I was so sad and nervous leading up to this day I was up until 2:30am thinking about it and getting everything ready so there was no stress leaving for school.
She was a champ jumped out of the car like she has been doing it for years, she is the little copy cat of her brother. Once she jumped out, I panicked that she was not the least bit upset like Harrison and his 3 weeks of sobbing during his first preschool drop offs. Now I am sad that my baby just jumped out of the car and turned into a little girl all on her own. I know this is what we want as parents but she could have at least shed a tear first, Oh well when I picked her up she said I missed you guys.

Getting in all the fun before school starts

We have been a little busy lately so I am a little behind getting photos up.
We have all had an awesome summer going on so many adventures, discovering so many new things. This adventure came at the last minute after Jason saw an article in the Sunday paper we hopped in the car and drove 2 hours to Dupont National Forest were we saw two of the most beautiful waterfalls, went on a few hikes, petted some horses, saw a few tiny snakes and I think we all peed in the woods.
Great family fun!
Made it to the top!
Putting on a good show for the camera
Triple falls
Up to something

Who are those Climbers?

They look so tiny up there so high
It's Harrison and Jason up the side of the steep waterfall
Harrison started fall baseball and this is his first day of coach pitch baseball, playing catch here with Asst. Coach Daddy
We have a new park very nearby that rivals our Red park in Ohio. Paid for and built by the community they raised $100,000 for this park.

The 2 week project

While the kids were away I was busy painting this mural in Harrison's room that has been stalking me since we moved in over a year ago. I knew what I wanted to do but really never wanted to tackle it with him around. I spent most of the time painting the mural and the last 2 nights Jason worked on how we were going to get the scoring pylon on the wall. I could see it up there but had no idea how it would work, thanks to him it did, we are not quite finished with the pylon but you get the picture.

2 Weeks apart

The kids have been with my parents for the last 2 weeks, they traveled home with Aunt Rena, Carson, Campbell and Caleigh and met my parents in Indy for a 2 week visit. Everyone had a great time as you can see from the photos my parents took. They did so many things and the kids had such a great time with Grandma and Grandpa.
