TRICK OR TREAT

With a few tweaks, now it looks like Harrison is holding his dead head and Delaney still makes such a cute little dolly. It stinks there are no pictures of me when I wore this costume for the very first time 35 years ago. I understand that half of my family has worn this costume and you know that one of these two are going to have a girl some day and they too will be Raggedy Ann.
We all had a great time and really loaded up on candy, Jason and I went out with the kids and Mom and Dad stayed at home passing out candy. Our house was slammed with Trick or treaters, I bought 11 bags of candy and Dad had to go buy more candy and they still ran out before the crowds were gone. Note to self---start stocking up for next year, may need 20 or more bags. We had cars parked in our pool parking lot from outside our neighborhood, it was amazing with the amount of people out and about.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SOCCER

My parents came into town on Wednesday afternoon and are keeping up with our crazy schedule; today we had a soccer game. The panthers lost the game by 2 points but Harrison did a great job while he was the goalie and did not let the other team score a goal.

Halloween Dress Rehearsal

The night went great, Harrison was not ready to reveal his costume to the masses, afraid he might run into a friend and they would make fun of him, he actually shed a few tears in the car and did not want to go. After being out for a while he was a little nervous from all the staring and comments on his terrific costume on a few occasions he got more candy than the others for the very cool costume and several people wanted to take his photo. I was very proud of him for getting out there and he looked awesome. His sister was very supportive telling him "when I get scared I just go". How sweet and adorable is she!

We have a coffee shop/military museum in town named Welcome Home Veterans, a very unique place where veterans get together every Thursday and this past Thursday my Dad went in to visit and it was an amazing place full of service members past, present and future. They presented my Dad with a key chain and one for my Grandfather to my Mom

Carvings

Could this be any more exciting, the long anticipated pumpkin carving, cat cookie eating night. For the past month and a half every single time we would see a pumpkin Delaney would say it is time to buy a pumpkin so finally I caved today-could have something to do with them finally being on sale!! There are no pumpkin patches around here so the local Harris Teeter Supermarket pumpkin bin made do. We had a great time scraping out the guts and drawing on the faces, I think the end results are pretty fantastic!

LUNCH TIME

Lunch at school is really the same as it was when I was a kid, same trays, same warm milk in cartons and the same excitement on the kids faces I remember having myself being there with friends. The improvement to elementary lunch is there are more choices now, thank goodness I did not have to eat that pizza and could have a chef salad instead. The school has tables off to the side for kids to sit with their parents if they want and I could see this Big brother being proud to have his Mom and sister visiting and this Little sister excited to have such a cool big brother and me just dang lucky to have the chance to be there to see it all.

There was a birthday today, cupcakes for everyone

Good Days Lords and Ladies

For the past 2 1/2 years that we have lived here we have heard so much about the Renaissance Festival that lasts for 3 months and is only on the weekend. We never went because we are not Renaissance kind of people, but after discovering a coupon to get us in for 1/2 price we though Huzzah! So off this family went to discover what the buzz was all about. This place is amazing it is 22 acres filled with 10 stages of entertainment, a tournament arena for jousts, an open-air market with 100 artisan shops, kitchens, pubs and games and we were amazed that we liked it and will go again next year. The kids want to dress up next year, Harrison wants to dress as a knight and Delaney as a fair maiden princess. I enjoyed seeing the costumes and appreciate the people who dress up and speak Elizabethan saying Good Day My Lady, but I just can't do it myself.
