First Big Kid Bike Ride

Delaney mastered pedaling her tricycle and I could not wait to open up her new bike she got for Christmas and put it together for her to ride, it may take awhile for her to get used to the fact that pedaling backward stops her but I think she may have it down soon! She is very excited to share this with her brother and friends since they are all on big bikes too.

Farewell Morning Friend

I have done something that I did not think I could. After the stress of trying to get through each morning and all the craziness that goes with it trying to make decent coffee and drinking it before it was stone cold had become unbearable for me. I decided to give coffee up, It has been 3 weeks since my last drink and it feels pretty good. I have never really had any addictions in my life until coffee and after only a short 4 years I have given it up. I tried once but the headaches were unbearable and this time I set it into place with my sinus infection and newly discovered seasonal allergies, the pains all mixed well together and I could not pin the pain on coffee this time, so I am done. I however have found a replacement, no addiction can go untreated!

Batter Up!

In addition to allergy season it is baseball season here in Mooresville and Delaney is doing a little batting practice to keep up with her big brother that starts his baseball practice on Friday evening. Delaney may have to wait a few years to start playing on a team but let's see if she can sit still this year and just watch!?!?!

BOYS MAKING PLANS AND GETTING DIRTY

These two boys moved dirt and dug up dirt and hauled dirt and helped one another for a couple hours. I am really not sure what they did, Jason says it's what boys do in the dirt just move it around. I was able to clean the entire downstairs and almost finish making dinner while watching them play so well together. I felt bad for Mason's Mom Melissa because he was covered in mud when he left, I think he was in school clothes and our mud is kinda hard to wash out since it is orange. I should make a plan for the yard and set these boys to work, I bet they would get the job done before Jason and I ever could.

THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS

Right now is when our yard is so pretty and nothing crazy has happened other than breaking up 2 gangs of fire ants and mowing the weeds. We have a weeping cherry that is blooming, 2 crab apples that are blooming and the tulips are in bloom. It was great planning for the previous owner to plant what he did because it really is like a domino effect, one blooming after the other. We have already had blooming pear trees, Daffodils, Narcissi, Hyacinths, Grape Hyacinths, Crocus and Iris. I fear the future of this yard because it will get out of control, so much tearing out to do.

Great old tree

I pass this great old tree out in the country sort of the middle of nowhere everytime I go to the mall. It really is impressive and I can only imagine how old it is or what kind of tree it is, whatever the answer I am sure it has a great story and has seen some really amazing things happen in it's lifetime. It is really beautiful and what I would give to be 10 years old again just to climb it, maybe someday I will stop and give it a try.
