First summer project the kids worked on together was a Lego Amusement Park, we took photos to take it apart because it was time to sell the house.  Pretty impressive if I do say so myself!!

Funny looking phone found at our local senior center, the Seniors know it is but this 7 year old had no idea

Last day of "Mooresville" School

Little did we know that June 8th would not only be the last day of 4th grade for Harrison and the last day of 1st grade for Delaney but it would be the last day in our beloved Mooresville schools.  Great memories and friends were made and we will carry them with us forever!!

Way To Go Mom and Son!!!

Our first 5K and we did it together, I am so proud of both of us, I really had no idea we could both run as much as we did.  We both walked about 1/2 mile total and ran the rest.  There were 110 participants and Harrison came in 6th place and I came in 10th.  I believe there was maybe a total of 10 kids and Harrison came in 6th after 5 adults, we do believe LaCrosse practice 4 nights a week is paying off,  WAY TO GO HARRISON!!!  You know what this means, we have to do more 5K's together but I do believe think we found our thing!!!

Happy 7th Birthday Delaney!!

What a great time the girls had today at Delaney's birthday party.

The girls met us in the Courtyard for a pizza picnic, then we walked down to Ain't Miss Bead Haven to make bracelets and earrings then walked to the Deluxe ice cream parlor to finish our day off with ice cream cones.  It was a perfect day!!

Old is new again

I updated some old patio chairs Jason's sister gave us over 5 years ago, despite my attempt of painting them once it did not take and peeled badly, so I decided to turn the 4 chairs into 2 benches.  I cut an arm off of each of them and stained one bench to look brand new for the front porch and stained one to look shabby for the back yard.  I am pretty proud of the end results of both of them.

Does the tradition continue?

Now that Harrison is 10 years old the tradition of mowing the lawn is passed down from father to son.  The hatred and loathing of mowing the lawn was and is the mindset my dear husband has had most of his life about mowing the lawn and now he has decided to pass it on to our son, with all his wonderful, loving fatherly ways I am keeping my fingers crossed that the tradition of despising yard work has stopped dead in it's tracks right now. During his mowing when Harrison took the gloves off I made him wear (Mom alert: so he would not get blisters) in the middle of mowing I thought he was done, but he kept going and after he completed the entire front yard I asked what he thought about mowing and he said; "I loved it!"

 Hmmm, must run in the family, I come from a line of yard lovers, my father is VERY proud of his lawn and we recently found out his father was also very proud of his lawn.  So I think that Jason can teach Harrison anyway he wants and Harrison will have that pride no matter what because he was born with it,  YEAH!
